In the month of May and onwards I’ll be working on a feature film called ‘Father’s Day’ written and directed by Jason Raftopoulos and produced by Alexandros Ouzas. FATHER’S DAY is an independent feature film that follows our main character, Jim, who has less than 24 hours to pay back a debt to a violent loan shark. But like all good stories, everything that can go wrong, will go wrong (Murphy’s Law right?). To make things more difficult for Jim, it’s his day to take over from his ex-wife and look after their young son, Alex. I’ll be working on all of the audio post production for this film. Being a drama it’s going to have a different flavour to my last two films. Looking forward to this one. Like the films Facebook page to keep up to date with what’s happening with the film. This one will be a tear jerker so stock up on those tissues! benni knop Supervising Sound Editor // Re-Recording Mixer MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
A passion for sound
I believe that designing and mixing sound is an art form. When sound is executed with consistency and creativity it produces an atmosphere that enhances the integrity of a story, well beyond the performance, taking the audience on a sensory and emotional journey.
Having worked in the film and television industry for over a decade, and with a background as a professional musician, I have developed my craft to ensure that I design, compose and balance with musician’s sensitivity. I have experience in all aspects of audio post production including as sound editor, sound designer, ADR recordist, composer and re-recording mixer, enabling me to shape the overall soundscape that is integral to the story-telling process.
